 Driving Directions from the Seattle area:

  • Head South on I-5 to Olympia
  • At Olympia take Exit 104 (Aberdeen, Ocean Beaches) Hwy. 101 North
  • Stay on main highway. It turns into Hwy 8 West. Then, at Elma it changes into Hwy 12 West
  • When you reach Aberdeen, follow the signs that take you to Hwy 101 North - to Hoquiam and Ocean Beaches. DO NOT TAKE THE WESTPORT TURN
  • Remain in the left lane as you cross the Hoquiam bridge. Bear right and then turn left at the second traffic light onto Hwy 109 (Ocean Shores/Ocean Beaches)
  • Follow 109 up the coast

Driving Directions from the Portland area:

  • Head North on I-5
  • Take Exit 88b to Elma then turn left onto Hwy 12 (Westbound)
  • When you reach Aberdeen, follow the signs that take you to Hwy 101 North - to Hoquiam and Ocean Beaches. DO NOT TAKE THE WESTPORT TURN
  • Remain in the left lane as you cross the Hoquiam bridge. Bear right and then turn left at the second traffic light onto Hwy 109 (Ocean Shores/Ocean Beaches.
  • Follow 109 up the coast.

If you are heading directly to Pacific Beach or Moclips:

  • After crossing the Hoquiam bridge do not turn. on Hwy 109
  • Continue on Hwy 101 north for 3 miles and turn left on Ocean Beach Road. This route will take you directly into Pacific Beach and connect with 109

If you are heading directly to Ocean Shores or Quinault Beach Resort:

  • After you cross the Hoquiam Bridge turn left at the second traffic light onto Hwy 109 (Ocean Shores/Ocean Beaches.
  • After approximately 18 miles turn left onto Hwy 115 (Oyehut/Ocean Shores)
  • Approximately 1/2 mile is the Quinault Beach Resort on the right
  • To continue onto Ocean Shores stay on Hwy 115 which will turn into Damon Rd after a sharp curve to the right. Turn left into Ocean Shores - through the stone gates.

Welcome to the North Beach! As you follow Hwy 109 up the coast the first town you will come to is Ocean City. There are several motels, North Beach Motel and Westwinds, to name a couple. RV and Campgrounds such as Ocean Shores Outdoor Recreation (located south of Ocean City) a grocery store, Sunrise Market, to purchase those necessities for a great vacation!

The next town you will come to is Copalis Beach. Which also offers several places to stay such as The Beachwood Resort, Driftwood Acres, Dunes Resort, Echoes By the Sea,, Tidelands and Rod's Beach Resort. For good food, shuffle board, game of pool and shopping visit Green Lantern Tavern and Vendor Village.

Now as we wander further up Hwy 109, you will notice a change in the coast line. Cliffs will start appearing along with the beautiful wind blown trees. You are getting close to a new community called Seabrook. Along the way to Seabrook, there are a couple of nice resorts to visit. Iron Springs Resort and Sandpiper Inn which has a very nice Gift Shop. Also along the way you will come across the Cove Gallery another very nice gift shop. After visiting Seabrook, you will continue north on Hwy 109. Out of the blue, you have come to a 4 way stop on Hwy 109. You will want to take a left and discover Pacific Beach. The road loops around right back to Hwy 109. You will find shops, eateries and the Sand Dollar Inn. You will also find some very spectacular views!

The next stop is Moclips which has more wonderful places to take a break to eat or rest for the night or the weekend. Ocean Crest Resort offers fine dining with a spectacular sunset view through the trees. There is also The Hi Tide Resort, Moonstone Beach Motel and Barnacle Motel & Falcon Rest.

At the southern tip of the North Beach area, you will find Ocean Shores which offers many places to stay, gift shops and activities. We also have our surrounding areas such as Aloha, Westport, Aberdeen and Hoquiam that should all be visited before you return home.
